That is why Flanders Convention Bureau encourages organisers, venues and suppliers to design with circular principles in mind, choosing reusable, shared and renewable materials over single-use solutions wherever possible. The smarter the sector works with what is already there, the lighter the footprint, and the lower the costs for the organiser.
Across the Flemish congress and events sector, materials are increasingly being rethought from the ground up. Reuse, modular design and shared resources are gaining ground, signage and stage elements are getting a second life, and waste is being reduced at the source rather than at the exit.
