Shared suppliers and in-house materials cut deliveries to Wintercircus, easing city centre impact.
To limit the number of deliveries and transport movements at Wintercircus, the venue works as much as possible with a single supplier for light and sound equipment, even when several organisers are involved in the same event. In addition, Wintercircus has invested in its own event materials, such as standing tables and chairs, that would otherwise be rented and delivered externally for every booking. This equipment is stored centrally on site and made available to organisers using the venue, removing the need for repeated external hires.
Sustainability added value: Bundling suppliers and providing shared in-house equipment significantly cuts the number of transport movements to and from Wintercircus. Fewer trucks and vans mean lower CO₂ emissions, less congestion, and improved liveability of Ghent’s city centre, with cleaner air, less noise, and safer streets for residents and visitors.
