External Suppliers Take Their Own Waste Back

Rental and catering partners take their own waste back, keeping responsibility with the source.

Waste generated by external rental companies and catering partners is taken back by those parties after their activities at the venue. They remain responsible for collecting, sorting, and further processing their own materials and waste streams, from packaging and crates to leftover food and disposable items. Each event contract makes this principle explicit, so suppliers arrive on site knowing that everything they bring in must also leave the site through their own channels.

Sustainability added value: Keeping each supplier responsible for its own waste prevents specific streams from disappearing into the venue’s general residual waste, where they can no longer be sorted or recycled effectively. Because suppliers are confronted with the volume and cost of their own outflow, they have a direct incentive to limit packaging, switch to reusables, and improve sorting at source. The result is less residual waste at venue level and a measurable shift in upstream choices made by the suppliers themselves.
