Safety Training

At the BMCC, safety is a shared responsibility that extends to everyone present — audiences, artists, technical and non-technical staff, and suppliers alike. All BMCC staff have completed mandatory basic safety training, equipping them with the essential skills to minimise risks and prevent incidents throughout the venue.

This commitment is reinforced by an annual Safety Day, during which the internal Occupational Health & Safety team trains staff on the emergency plan, provides hands-on lift rescue instruction, and concludes with a full evacuation drill to ensure everyone can respond safely and efficiently in a real-life scenario.

Sustainability added value: A safe working environment is a fundamental pillar of social sustainability.

By combining mandatory safety training with recurring, practical drills, the BMCC embeds a genuine culture of care and preparedness — protecting the wellbeing of every person involved in an event and making the venue a reliable and trustworthy partner for organisers and their teams.
